MINA DIKTER

A poem by me

The end of the summer

Below the rail road bridge
a sunny summer day,
the river is flowing by the ridge.
You feel the sun's warm ray,
the water in the river is chilling,
The house martins are nesting
in the height thrilling,
And you are resting.

Then you hear the ticking sound of
the robin,
you know - the summer is turning into  autumn.

Fire is life

Mystic out of  ordinary things,
sitting  by your camp fire,
watching its   vivid hot strings
You cannot but admire.

It's quiet except a sigh of wind
it's dark except the nearest round
But never mind,
it's this way you're sound

Sitting by your camp fire,
watching the secret the flames hide.
Philosophizing over  life and sire,
same fire outside and  inside.

Coupling coal  and oxygen  -  fire,
Breathing makes fire inside to go on.
Air around you makes your camp fire ,
And the life goes on.

Paradox of convenience

There are straight ways and even roads
but you choose narrow paths and roadless terrain.
There are fast cars
but you choose the feet..
There are convenient houses
but you choose a little hut.
There are luxuriuos restaurants
but you choose a grilled sausage by a camp fire.
There are soft beds
but you choose a sleeping bag on ground.
That's a paradox of convenience.

Nånstans mitt i Glasskogen

Men ur evighetsperspektivet sett,
Om du ska ha nån nytta,
Du ska vara av alltings skapare ledd
Innan du flyttar till evighetens hytta.

FIRE
What is fire?
There is something special with fire. We, the modern people are still attracted by its flame which almost seems to be alive.
You can sit by a camp fire for hours and be fascinated by it, looking at the flaring flames.
It's not queer that primitive peoples have fire in the first place in their world.
Before fire was more important than it's now. It was difficult to make a fire and when you  once had a fire you preserved it as long time as you ever could.
In the beginning there were just a few persons who knew the secret of fire. These ones became key persons and received the power. Now the secret of fire is disclosed to every one but the fascination of fire remains. Chemistry explains . . . ¹)
When we want to make an impression on the audience that is calid for us living in the modern industrialized world and for
the indian tribes in the rain forest. Fire will have its position for ever.
¹) that fire is not stranger than a matters' union with oxygen, i.e. oxiding
